
James Crichton is an actor, singer, pianist, theatre educator, and vocal coach based in New York.
As an actor he most recently appeared in the New York premiere of Unknown Soldier at Playwrights Horizons, directed by Trip Cullman. Other credits include Jasper in Deadland with Prospect Theater Company, the national tour of Peter and the Starcatcher, the American premiere of Jordan Tannahill's Botticelli in the Fire at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, The Taming of the Shrew at Shakespeare Theatre Company, The Last Ship at Pioneer Theatre Company, and Sweeney Todd at The Rev Theater Company.
He is the host and creator of the podcast Actors: On Process, and as an educator he is an adjunct (associate professor) for the musical theatre program at LIU Post, as well as a theatre director and skills-based instructor for Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts.
He holds a BFA in Acting from Hofstra University and is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association.
